Digitalisation and digital transformation consulting
Digital transformation consulting for mid-sized companies, from roadmap to implementation
CIRO EFFORT supports mid-sized companies in digitalisation from process analysis to running software. We find the workflows where digitalisation pays off fastest, develop a roadmap with clear priorities and implement it ourselves: software, integrations, automation and AI. Because we develop with AI, this is two to three times as fast as the traditional way. Fixed price per project phase, and we check funding options from the start.
Across Germany for startups and mid-sized companies, with team members in Munich and Dortmund. Updated:
- faster and cheaper than traditional development
- 2–3×
- per project phase, itemised before the start
- Fixed price
- funding possible through the Digitalbonus Bayern
- Up to 50%
When does digitalisation pay off?
These signs suggest a process is costing money it should not:
- Information is retyped from paper or PDF into a system
- Important workflows depend on spreadsheets and on individuals
- Customers ask for status because they cannot see it anywhere
- Systems do not talk to each other, data is maintained twice
- New staff need months to learn where everything is
- Growth mainly means more administration
From current-state analysis to a process in production
Four phases, each with a fixed price and an outcome you can check:
- 01Week 1
Analysis
We map workflows, systems and data flows, with the people who work with them every day.
- 02Weeks 1–2
Roadmap
Target state and initiatives, prioritised by impact and effort. Including a funding check and a binding quote.
- 03Weeks 2–9
Pilot
We implement the most important initiative first, as a clickable version your team tests in daily work.
- 04Weeks 10–12
Roll-out
Go-live, training, measurement. Then the next initiatives on the roadmap, phase by phase.
The AI advantage
Digitalisation: two to three times as fast as the traditional way
2–3×
less effort and time than traditional development
For digitalisation this means: implementing your roadmap takes a third to a half of the effort of traditional development. More initiatives fit into the same budget, and the first takes effect sooner.
Effort for a new feature
For example invoicing or time tracking in existing software. Index, traditional agency = 100.

Off-the-shelf, custom software or AI?
The answer depends on the process. This is how we decide:
| Situation | Our recommendation |
|---|---|
| The process is industry-standard and does not set you apart | Introduce off-the-shelf software and integrate it properly |
| The process is your competitive edge or very specific | Custom software that follows the way you work |
| Lots of text, many variants, recurring checks | AI assistant or AI agent with human approval |
| Data is scattered across several systems | Integrations and a shared data foundation first |
Consulting, UX, development and measurement in one team
Digitalisation projects fail more often on handovers and adoption than on technology, so all disciplines work together in our team:
- Consulting
- Current-state analysis, target state and a roadmap prioritised by impact. Including funding options.
- UX and design
- Digital workflows staff and customers like to use, because we plan for adoption in the design.
- Development
- We implement the roadmap ourselves: software, integrations and automation.
- Analytics
- KPIs before the start, measurement afterwards. You see which initiative achieved what.
- AI
- Where AI achieves more than conventional digitalisation, we say so and build that as well.
Funding: Digitalbonus Bayern and more
The Digitalbonus Bayern supports small companies in Bavaria with digitalisation projects, covering up to 50 percent of eligible costs, up to 7,500 euros in the standard version and up to 30,000 euros in Digitalbonus Plus. The programme runs until the end of 2027. The application must be approved before you place the order.
Companies in North Rhine-Westphalia and other German states have their own programmes, some of whose conditions changed in 2026. In the initial call we check which programme fits your project and shape the quote and phases so that they are eligible.
Digital transformation consulting FAQ
With the process that occurs most often and costs the most manual work today. That is where the first step pays off fastest, often within weeks. We find it together with your team in the current-state analysis.
We work with fixed prices per project phase. Analysis and roadmap are the first phase; afterwards you know which initiatives are worth it and what implementing them costs. Because we also implement, our consulting ends with a quote for the first pilot. We name concrete figures in the initial call.
Often yes. The Digitalbonus Bayern funds small companies (fewer than 50 employees, at most 10 million euros in revenue or balance sheet total) with up to 50 percent of the expenditure: up to 7,500 euros in the standard track, up to 30,000 euros in the plus track, from a project volume of 4,000 euros. Artificial intelligence is an explicitly named funding priority, while standard software and standard websites are excluded. There is no legal entitlement, and grants are made within the available budget. Plan for this in your schedule: you submit the application yourself through your ELSTER business account, and you may only commission us once receipt of the application has been confirmed, because signing earlier costs you the funding. So talk to us before you apply. The programme runs until 31 December 2027.
By involving them from the start: in the analysis, in testing the pilot and in deciding the next version. We design digital workflows for the people who use them every day and measure after launch whether they are adopted.
For most mid-sized companies a cloud with data centres in the EU is the more economical and secure choice. Where data should not leave the building, we build solutions for your own environment. We decide this with you while drawing up the roadmap.
Analysis and roadmap are ready after about two weeks. Then we implement the most important initiative as a pilot, which goes live after two to three months. Further initiatives follow phase by phase, each with its own fixed price, so you control pace and budget.
