Motion design agency for videos built in code
Motion design as code: videos generated from your data
CIRO EFFORT produces motion design as code, with Remotion and HyperFrames: product videos, explainer videos and social media clips rendered from data and templates instead of assembled by hand in a timeline. A new video is ready after three to five hours in its first build, every further one takes around an hour; the voice-over is generated through an API. When a price, a feature or a language changes, the video is regenerated without post-production. This suits companies that need many variants, regular updates or personalised videos.
Across Germany for startups and mid-sized companies, with team members in Munich and Dortmund. Updated:
- for a new video, first build
- 3–5 hrs
- for every further video, voice-over included
- ~1 hr
- 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 from the same source
- Every format
Motion design as code or the classic way?
Code pays off as soon as speed, volume, freshness or personalisation matter:
| Classic motion design | Motion design as code | |
|---|---|---|
| New video | Several days to weeks | 3–5 hours for the first build |
| Every further video | Days again, manual work per version | Around one hour |
| Voice | Studio recording, again for every language | Generated through an API, in many languages, regenerated instantly |
| Tool | Timeline in After Effects and similar | Code templates with Remotion or HyperFrames |
| Changes | By hand in every version | Once in code or data, all versions re-rendered |
| Variants | Each variant takes time | Formats, languages and audiences from one template |
| Data | Typed in | Pulled directly from shop, CMS, spreadsheet or API |
| Best for | Single brand films with lots of manual craft work | Series, product videos, updates, personalised videos |
Times for typical explainer, product and social videos in your design, based on experience from our productions. Elaborate brand films with shooting or 3D belong in the classic column.
The AI advantage
Motion design: two to three times as fast as the traditional way
2–3×
less effort and time than traditional development
For motion design this means: a new video is ready after three to five hours, every further one after around an hour, because design, animation and voice are generated from code and data.
Effort for a new feature
For example invoicing or time tracking in existing software. Index, traditional agency = 100.

Remotion or HyperFrames: which tool for what?
We work with both frameworks and choose per project what fits better:
| Remotion | HyperFrames | |
|---|---|---|
| Basis | Videos as React components in TypeScript | Videos as programmable HTML compositions with animations |
| Strength | Data-driven series, personalisation, complex logic | Composition and editing as code, fast iteration |
| Output | Rendered video files in all common formats | MP4, WebM or MOV |
| Best for | Product and data videos in large numbers, variants from CRM or shop | Explainer and social videos, editing existing footage |
Both routes deliver templates as source code that belongs to you. Whether a project uses Remotion, HyperFrames or both is decided in the concept.
Which videos can be produced as code?
01
Product and feature videos
New feature, new release, new price: the video pulls copy and screens from your product and stays current.
02
Explainer videos
Workflows and concepts explained with animation, in your design, in several languages with AI voice and subtitles on request.
03
Social media series
Recurring formats for LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube, in every aspect ratio from one template.
04
Personalised videos
One video per customer, prospect or location, with names, figures and offers from your CRM.
05
Data visualisation
KPIs, rankings and reports as animated graphics, updated automatically when new data arrives.
06
Animated website elements
The same animations as interactive elements on your website or in your app, in addition to the video file.
How a video is made as code in a few hours
The timeline for a new video, from brief to finished file. Every further video on the same template then takes around an hour:
- 01~1 hr
Brief and data
Goal, format, copy and data sources. Storyboard in your corporate design.
- 022–3 hrs
Animation as code
Scenes, typography, motion and editing as code, with Remotion or HyperFrames. Preview in the browser, every change visible instantly.
- 03Minutes
Voice and subtitles
Voice-over, subtitles and translations are generated automatically and checked by people.
- 04~1 hr per video
Render and variants
All formats are rendered. Every further video only swaps data and copy, automatically on request.
Design, development and measurement in one team
Motion design as code sits right between design and development. At CIRO EFFORT, both sit in the same team:
- Consulting
- Which videos do you really need, in which formats and volumes? That decides whether code or manual production fits.
- UX and design
- Storyboard, typography, motion: design that carries your brand, consistent in every format.
- Development
- Videos as code with Remotion or HyperFrames: versioned, data-driven and rendered automatically.
- Analytics
- Testing and measuring variants: which cut is watched to the end, which leads to an enquiry?
- AI
- Copy, voice-overs, subtitles and translations with AI, checked and approved by people.
Motion design as code FAQ
With two frameworks, depending on the task. Remotion is an open-source framework for building videos as React components, well suited to data-driven series and complex logic. Remotion requires a company licence for commercial use by companies above a certain size; we clarify that in the quote. HyperFrames by HeyGen describes videos as programmable HTML compositions with animations and renders them as MP4, WebM or MOV, well suited to composition and editing as code. We decide which fits in the concept.
As soon as you need more than a handful of similar videos: variants for formats and languages, regular updates, product videos for many items or personalised videos. For a single brand film with lots of manual craft work, classic motion design is often the better choice.
A new video is ready after three to five hours in its first build, including voice and subtitles. Every further video on the same template takes around an hour, because only data and copy change. Produced the classic way, the same video usually takes days to weeks.
Yes. You receive the templates as source code and can keep rendering videos without us. On request we set up automated production in your own environment.
The voice-over is generated through a speech-synthesis API, in many languages and without a studio session. AI also helps with copy, translations and subtitles and speeds up template development. Design, approval and brand consistency are the responsibility of people on our team.
Yes. Copy, subtitles and voice are generated per language from the same template. So another language version mostly needs a reviewed translation; a studio session and new animation are not needed.
